First Shift & Kruger Initiatives now OPEN for Registration
Is your daughter interested in playing hockey? The Gloucester Cumberland Girls Hockey Association (GCGH) is offering two subsidized programs during the 2023-24 hockey season for girls of all ages.
1. If your daughter is new-to-hockey and between the ages of 6-10, GCGH has teamed up with NHL/NHLPA to host another First Shift Program! We are proud to have the opportunity to bring the NHL/NHLPA First Shift Program to our neighborhood. The program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families. The goal is to facilitate entry into hockey by offering a program that is ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE, SAFE and most importantly, FUN! No previous experience skating or playing is required!
Registration: Registration Opens June 1st, 2023.

Duration: 6 x 1hr weekly sessions Fall 2023. We will offer an optional transition program with additional sessions in January 2024 for a subsidized rate.
Cost: $299 Fee - includes six weeks of Hockey Canada on-ice instruction and head-to-toe Bauer equipment

2. If your daughter is 11 years or older, would like to try hockey for the first time or has played before and would like to get back in the sport, we are offering a program open to all interested.

Duration: 6 x 1hr weekly sessions Fall 2023. We will offer additional sessions in January 2024.
Cost: Program costs will be subsidized. Additional details will be confirmed at a later date.

GCGH also offers a range of other hockey programming for girls of all ages, including our Shooting Stars house league program. If your daughter is currently playing with a minor hockey association, but she would like to make the transition to girls hockey, we will discount her first year of registration with GCGH!
