New Stars Competitive Hockey Program Uniforms Approved!

We are thrilled to announce that the new Stars Competitive Hockey Program uniforms have been officially approved by the association Board. After careful consideration and consultation with stakeholders, suppliers, and players, the Stars Rebranding Committee is excited to move forward with a uniform that reflects the spirit and pride of our competitive teams.
The overwhelming preference among players was to replicate the current East Ottawa AA uniforms. This feedback from players, as well as many other considerations reviewed by the Stars Rebranding Committee, formed the recommendation to the Board which they supported. This decision ensures that Stars competitive players will proudly don their hockey sweaters, and fosters a unified look across all competitive teams in the East Ottawa Girls Hockey Association.
Additionally, there are added benefits to this uniform change, including that for players who are called up for games, or transitioning from AA - C competitive levels from season-to-season will find that the need for a new jersey is limited, resulting in potential future savings for families.
It's important to note that the AA high-performance program uniforms will be distinguished in other ways, such as the EO AA shoulder patch.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the stakeholders and players who contributed to this process. Your input was invaluable in shaping our new look and fostering a sense of unity within the competitive programs.
Our official uniform and apparel suppliers (Houle Sports Excellence, Lacroix Source for Sports, and Affiliated Sports Group) have all been notified of the new Stars uniforms and been sent the logos and are preparing their online apparel stores accordingly. We will share this information as soon as it becomes available. The association is now working diligently with our suppliers on next steps for jersey/sock orders. More information will be shared regarding the purchase of jerseys and other uniform items in the near future via coaches and managers.
